Summoner Showdown: This thing of the week I bring you Summoner Showdown, a series of shorts created by a group of animators such as Terkoiz and Miccool about League of Legends. The first Summoner Showdown: Lee Sin vs Teemo was shown live during Riot Game's League Championship Series last year. The second Summoner Showdown: Bottom Lane came out later that same year. If you're a fan of League of Legends you'll definitely enjoy these shorts, with the next one being working on now. There's a lot to look forward to.

Artist and Illustrator

Artist and Illustrator
Kienan Lafferty: This week in The Thing of the Week I bring you the artist Kienan Lafferty. An artist and illustrator that has done amazing splash artwork for Riot Games, continually posts art and other tutorials on his YouTube channel, and also has the comic Emma that he's working on. I first discovered him through searching for Photoshop tutorials on YouTube, where I found his channel Kienan Lafferty. From there I learned that he has working for Riot Games doing splash artwork for the champions they release in their game League of Legends before eventually being there for the start of his comic Emma. If you ever want to learn some tricks and knowledge about art and digital painting I recommend viewing his YouTube channel and watch the 150+ videos in his KNKL show. If you want to see some of the work he's done you can view them on his Deviant Art page.

Aquatilis Expedition: This week I bring you an amazing collection of photography from the group Aquatilis Expedition. Scientist, photographers, and sailors all working together to bring us these great images. Their goal is to explore the ocean and show the world how beautiful it is. The head of the group is Alexander Semenov, a marine biologist and a photographer who was already sharing his experiences with the world prior to the groups formation. The photos are amazing and have an amazing amount of detail in them. I recommend everyone to browse the images on their Flicker Page.

Webcomic
Michael Sexton (Blue-Ten)
Everblue: A web comic created by Michael Sexton or Blue-Ten about adventures, ships, and an endless ocean. This comic is one I stumbled upon some time ago last year, and did not regret it one bit. The art style is clean and smooth, and the story is very interesting from the get go. The first link will take you to the first chapter of the series for your viewing pleasure, while this next link will take you to his Blue-Ten Deviant-Art page.
