So, as I mentioned last week. Work has really began to take place on Project Legacy. This last Saturday we held our first meeting as a means of everyone on the team meeting each other, while also discussing roles further and what everyone's focus will be on. While a few people weren't able to make it, about 12 or 13 people were there total. And we have about 16 or so people all together working on this. I can definitely say I didn't expect that many people, even more so I didn't expect so much to be planned so far. I'm pretty certain I'm going to have a great year working with everyone on this. For now, until my visual effects knowledge is needed, I'm doing prop modelling for the film, and occasionally pumping out lore related documents for the writing lead to pick and choose what to keep and what to toss. I'll keep updating the progress on the film but we just officially started so don't expect too much info at once.
Now onto bowling. It's the best hobby I can think of. I've been bowling well over 10 years, from when I was in a child league at our local Sparetimes bowling alley, up until I was both too old to stay in the Jr. Sr. league which is up to age 19, and didn't have to time to join the adult league because of school. Luckily however, Sparetimes has a thing they do every Wednesday night where people who have a military id bowl for free from 9:30 to midnight. Needless to say that's what I've been doing and plan to do tonight. Fun side note, one of the reasons this is a Wednesday blog is because I would remember to update the blog before going bowling, as well as because various manga release their chapters on this day of the week as well.
And now for the Thing Of The Week for this week, which is: Pokemon Evoas. A Pokemon fan game created and programmed by Deviant Art user th3sharkk.

All of the programming was done by himself, and the important reason this is the thing of the week is that it's unlike any Pokemon game I've ever played before. 75% of the attacks in the game are newly created to fit in the style he wanted. The game focuses heavily on teamwork between both your Pokemon, as the game is all about double battles. In one battle a Raichu and a Mantine did a combo move where Raichu pulled out a Surf board and boosted his defense, and when Mantine used surf in the same turn both of them rode on the wave, before Raichu jumped off at released a burst of electricity. Naturally I lost that battle, but it showed how many attacks can be combined. And then there's the Brink mode as well. I knew as soon as I came across this that it deserved to be the thing of the week this week. Th3sharkk has a playable demo here and you can learn more about all the new features on his Pokecommunity page here.
Before I go I also wanted to say that after this blog goes live, I'm going to add a new page on my site where for The Thing Of The Week. All of the things will be added to that page along with what I wrote about them.
-Till next week
